Online Programs

1. ExxonMobile Engineering Scholarship


– Qualifying candidates have an ACT score of 29 or higher and/or a combined SAT score of 1350.

– 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA

– Hispanic

– U.S. citizens

– Graduating senior

The LULAC – League of United Latin American Citizens – National Educational Service Centers offer the ExxonMobile Engineering Scholarship. The scholarship rewards Hispanic high school seniors who want to study engineering. One $20,000 award, payable over four years of college will go to a qualifying student in the U.S.

2. Furman Scholars Program


– High school junior

– Interest in liberal arts and sciences

– High school GPA of 3.5 or above

– Significant involvement in extracurricular and community activities

– Leadership skills/potential

– ACT score of 29 or above and/or a combined SAT score of at least 1360

Furman University of Greenville, N. C., offers scholarships of $20,000 or more in merit, talent or athletic-based awards for those admitted to the university and chosen as Furman Scholars. A private liberal arts university, Furman was founded in 1826, and it is the oldest institution of its kind in North Carolina.

3. Colorado Christian University Distinguished Achievement Scholarship


– 4.0 GPA in high school

– ACT score of 30 and above

– SAT combined score of 1410 and above

– Maintain a cumulative 3.5 or above GPA at CCU

– Full-time student

Colorado Christian University recognizes high academic achievers by offering several merit-based scholarships. The Distinguished Achievement Scholarship provides an incoming freshman with $19,000 per year for up to four years, for a total amount of $76,000. CCU is the leading interdenominational Christian college in the Rocky Mountain area.

4. CCU Trustees’ Scholarship


– 3.8 or above GPA in high school

– ACT score of at least 28

– Combined SAT score of at least 1320

– Maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA at CCU

– Meet eligibility requirements for student financial aid

The CCU Trustee’s Scholarship gives an incoming freshman recipient $17,000 annually for four years for a maximum award overall of $68,000. Colorado Christian University, located in the community of Lakewood, offers 50 degree options for undergraduates and 80 degrees for graduate students.

5. CCU President’s Scholarship


– 3.6 GPA in high school

– An ACT minimum score of 24

– A combined minimum SAT score of 1190

– Maintain a cumulative 3.3 GPA at CCU

– Continue to meet all student financial aid eligibility requirements

CCU’s President’s Scholarship rewards an incoming freshman scholar with $15,000 per year for up to four years. The maximum total award is $60,000. The University is a member of several higher education organizations, including the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, the Council for Independent Colleges and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.

6. CCU World Changers Scholarship


– A GPA in high school of at least 3.9

– An ACT score of at least 28

– A 1320 cumulative SAT score

– Maintain a cumulative 3.5 GPA at CCU

– Meet all student aid requirements for eligibility

The World Changers Scholarship from Colorado Christian University is a full-tuition award for up to eight semesters of study for three incoming freshmen. The committee invites candidates to visit the campus for two days in the spring of their high school senior year, and then chooses the three recipients based on that two-day event. All attendees will receive an Impact Scholarship as well.

7. Point the Way Foundation Scholarship


– 18 or older

– U.S. citizen

– Admitted to or currently attending an accredited university in the U.S.

– GPA of 3.0 or higher

– Minimum combined SAT score of 1500 or 21 minimum score on the ACT

Point the Way is a non-profit organization for military children and families, which is based in Carlsbad, Cal. The organization offers two scholarships each year of up to $5,000 apiece.

8. University of Georgia Foundation Fellowship


– Must currently be a high school senior

– GPA of 3.9 or higher (non-weighted)

– Combined SAT-R score of 1460 or above

– ACT score of 33 or above

The Foundation Fellowship from the University of Georgia awards an incoming freshman who is a resident of Georgia with an annual stipend of $12,300. If the recipient is from out of state, the annual stipend is $20,300, or if the recipient is from another country, the award is $22,300 per year. In addition, the Foundation Fellowship financial package includes the Zell Mill Scholarship, which adds $9,552 per year for Georgia residents, the Presidential waiver, which provides $18,574 to the yearly stipend for out of state and international students.

9. U.S. Air Force ROTC High School Scholarship


– U.S. citizen

– GPA of 3.0 or above

– SAT combined score of 1240 or ACT score of 26 or above

– Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board physical

– Physical fitness assessment

Applicants do not have to commit to joining the service to try for the U.S. Airforce ROTC Scholarship, but recipients must make a commitment to join their university’s ROTC program, complete the required military courses and then serve a minimum of four years of active duty after graduation. The Type 1 scholarship pays full tuition at a public or private school that has an ROTC program. Type 2 provides $18,000 annually for up to four years of study at a public or private college with an ROTC program. Type 7 provides 100 percent tuition at a public university.

10. Delaware Department of Education B. Bradford Barnes Memorial Scholarship


– Delaware resident

– Cumulative, non-weighted GPA of 3.0 or above

– SAT combined score of 1290 or the equivalent score on ACT

– Full-time enrollment in the University of Delaware


The Delaware Department of Education B. Bradford Barnes Memorial Scholarship covers tuition, fees, living expenses and books for up to four years at the University of Delaware. Located in Newark, Del., the university is a public research institution.

11. Hanover College Blythe, Parker and Hendricks Scholarships


– Apply for admission to Hanover College

– Combined SAT score 1190 or above

– ACT score of 25 and above

– Weighted high school GPA of 3.0 or above

All new applicants to Hanover College are under consideration for the Blythe, Parker and Hendricks merit scholarships, which provide funding for four years of study in amounts ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. Hanover College is a private college specializing in the liberal arts.

12. James W. McLamore WHOPPER Scholarship


– U.S. (including Puerto Rico) or Canadian citizen

– Applying to an accredited U.S. college or university

– Unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.3 or above

– ACT of 25 or above and/or SAT of 1220 or above

– Demonstrated community leadership/service or extracurricular activities

– Substantial work experience

– Burger King employee, spouse or child of a Burger King employee

The James W. McLamore WHOPPER Scholarship is sponsored by the McLamore Family Foundation. The award provides up to $50,000 for four years of higher education. The funds are applied to tuition, fees, and books at a non-profit college or university.

13. The Gladys Carol Scholarship Program


– U.S. citizen or permanent resident

– Accepted to a STEM curriculum at an accredited U.S. college or university

– Cumulative high school GPA or 3.6 or above

– Minimum combined SAT score of 1290 or minimum ACT of 28

– Maintain a college GPA of 3.75 or above

The Gladys Carol Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship providing up to $5,000 for two consecutive years at a U.S. institution of higher learning. To apply, students must submit an official transcript, a letter of acceptance from a college or university, a FAFSA and a student essay.

14. Gwynedd Mercy University Presidential Scholarship


– 1360 combined score on new SAT or 1300 on old SAT

– Cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or above

Gwynedd Mercy University, located in Gwynedd Valley, Penn., was founded in 1948. The Presidential Scholarship is renewable for three additional years provided the recipient continues to meet eligibility requirements and maintains a minimum GPA of 3.5. It covers tuition in full.

15. The Ohio State University National Buckeye Scholarship


– Not an Ohio resident

– Top 25 percent of graduating high school class

– ACT composite of 29 or above

– Combined SAT score of 1330 or above

The National Buckeye Scholarship is designed for out-of-state students who wish to attend Ohio State University in Columbus. It awards $13,500 per year for a total value of $54,000. Students may combine this scholarship with either the Trustees, Maximus or Provost scholarships, if applicable.

16. Texas A&M University Lechner and McFadden Scholarships

The Lechner and McFadden Scholarships from Texas A&M University award recipients $2,500 each year for four years of study. Each scholarship includes a $1,000 award for a year of study abroad through an approved Texas A&M program.

17. Loyola University Chicago Ignatian Scholarship


– Cumulative GPA in high school of 3.5 or above

– Composite ACT score of 33 or above

– SAT combined score of 1490

– Mandatory on-campus interview

The Ignatian Scholarship to attend Loyola University Chicago is renewable for four years of undergraduate study. It provides up to $25,000 per year. All new undergraduate applicants to Loyola University Chicago are under consideration for a merit-based scholarship. No separate application is required.

18. Jacksonville State University McGee Scholarship

Jacksonville State University is located in Alabama. It offers students 95 different courses of study. Founded in 1883, JSU currently offers 40 programs online as well.

19. New Mexico Tech Silver Scholarship


– National Merit Semi-finalist

– GPA of 3.5 and above in high school

– ACT score of 30 or above

– SAT combined score of 1390 or above

New Mexico Tech offers some of the leading STEM programs in the nation. Located in Socorro, New Mexico Tech is a science and engineering research university with a student to faculty ratio of 13:1. The Silver Scholarship awards $5,000 per year for a student’s four-year education.

20. Ned McWherter Scholarship


– Senior in a Tennessee high school

– U.S. citizen

– 3.5 or above unweighted GPA

– Composite ACT score of 29 or above or equivalent SAT score

The Tennessee Higher Education Commission offers the Ned McWherter Scholarship, which awards $6,000 annually to students at a Tennessee university. Recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Bonus Scholarship: Delaware Department of Education Christa McAuliffe Teacher Incentive Program


– Delaware resident

– Enrollment in a Delaware college

– Pursuing a teacher’s certificate

– Unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in high school

– Combined SAT score of 1010 or above

The Christa McAuliffe Teacher Incentive Program offers $5,000 per year of study at a Delaware college or university. It is renewable for three additional years, provided the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0.
