About Bryan College

Bryan College is a private college that offers liberal arts classes with a foundation in the Christian faith. William Jennings Bryan called for the foundation of a Christian college in Dayton, Tennessee while working on the Scopes Trial. He hoped that this new college would help students understand the Christian perspective. After his death, an organization opened to raise funds for that new school. Established in 1930 as the William Jennings Bryan University, it opened with courses that allowed students to study Christianity and the Bible. It changed its name to William Jennings Bryan College in 1958 and Bryan College in 1993.

Located in Dayton, Tennessee, the Bryan College campus has 13 general buildings and seven residence halls on more than 120 acres.
